Numbered events are "SPICE events", means SPICE Group is involved by helping to define the topics, to identify and attract speakers, to prepare and organize the event and/or by holding a SPICE Meeting — for members and invited guests only. Events in italic letters, without a blue background are recommended by SPICE, however do not have a specific involvement of SPICE Group.

Again the Karelian Forest in North-Western Russia will offer an unusual environment for an event dealing with innovation in a way different to what is to be expected in general.
Organized by the Russian National Business Incubation Association this forum is aimed at sharing experience in economic development promotion. A number of specialized conference will Complete the program of the forum, for example “Small Busi-ness and Innovation”, “Branding of the Territories as the Way of Positioning in the Global Markets” ,“Microfinance and Re-gional Development: Positive Experience” or “Active and Extreme Tourism as a Form of Business”. A Training “Practice in Small Innovative Business Develop-ment” will be offered as well.

The Small Enterprise Association of Australia and New Zealand (SEAANZ) will hold it’s 22nd Annual Conference in Wellington, New Zealand on September 2nd, 2009. Opening festivities begin on the evening of September 1. Attendees represent a broad range of sectors, including educational institutions and government agencies but will also include individuals from research organizations, economic development agencies, and corporates with an interest in the small business sector.

The 6th Annual Conference of The Technopolicy Network 'Shaping Science Based Clusters' will be held in Wageningen, Netherlands.
During the the 6th Annual Conference of The Technopolicy Network, internationally acclaimed experts will be giving their views on the role of innovative clusters in our societies. Speakers representing industrial, life science, IT and agricultural clusters from all over the world share their best practices and join discussions. The conference will be chaired by Roger Stough, president of The Technopolicy Network and Professor of Public Policy at George Mason University.
The conference will be held in the region of Wageningen that is famous for its life science and agricultural industries. It is the heart of Food-valley, a cluster that strives to become the Dutch centre for food research, innovation and production. Prior to the conference a one-day course on IT clustering will be given in Amsterdam on September 23. The Baltic Dynamics Conference is annually organized Baltic countries initiative aiming at a promotion of international co-operation in the fields of innovation, SMEs support and technology transfer. The Conference is organized since 1995 in turn by Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.
The 2009 Baltic Dynamics Conference – The Dynamics of Innovation Spaces: Bringing Innovation to Society aims at promotion of innovativeness among policy makers, business, science, education and society. Submissions of proposals for papers from academics, policy makers, consultants, managers in innovation management, technology transfer as well as in SMEs support field are strongly encouraged and should focus on the following topics:
- Triple Helix – Implications for Policy and Practice
- Regional Innovation Environments and Innovative Regions
- International Co-operation in Knowledge Transfer
- The Role of Traditions in Innovation Processes
- Innovative Approaches in Business Management
- @Innovation
- Creativity and Innovation Management
Firstly a one page abstract of the propsed paper should be sent to the Conference Organizing Committee (info@balticdynamics.com) not later than May 31, 2009. All abstracts must be in English.

AURP, the Association of University Research Parks will hold its Annual Conference 2009 "Advancing Global Research Park Networks" in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Topics of this event are: Are your university, research park, government, and industry partners linked to global networks in the right ways to maximize exposure and transfer of knowledge? Are you maximizing results?
Proposals for suggested concurrent sessions should be no more than one page in length. A proposed session should address one or more of the conference tracks, which are:1) sustainability 2) government funding 3) industry.
Each proposal should include the following:
-a full description of the proposed session, including how the information to be shared will benefit the attendees and address the track subject;
-a 50-75 word description for possible future marketing materials;
-the contact information, biography in narrative format, and high resolution photo of each proposed presenter.
The proposals are due no later than Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 5:00 p.m. PDT.

Brazil will host the 3rd infoDev Global Forum on Business Incubation as part of a new partnership btween Brazil and infoDev to explore the role of ICT, innovation and small business entrepreneurship as engines of economic growth and social empowerment and inclusion.
The Global Forum will bring together incubation professionals, small and medium sized enterprises, entrepreneurs, policymakers, financiers, and development practitioners to discuss how incubation supports ICT-enabled innovation and entrepreneurship as tools for sustainable development.
DATE and VENUE changed: infoDev and Brazil had originally planned to hold the Global Forum in Brasilia this May. However, a unique opportunity presented itself to integrate the Global Forum with ANPROTEC's 19th Annual National Seminar on Entrepreneurship and Incubation which will bring together a wide audience of Brazilian incubators, policymakers, entrepreneurs and practitioners under the theme Entrepreneurship: the Energy for the Innovative Brazil.
The 3rd infoDev Global Forum 2009 website will be launched shortly to provide further information about the program and participation.
