Short Profilejoined New Zealand Trade and Enterprise, the New Zealand government's economic development agency, in 2002. His primary responsibility is overseeing the development of New Zealand's business incubation industry. Prior to joining NZTE Richard spent 3 years as Chief Executive of the Insurance Institute of New Zealand. This assignment followed a 15 year career in corporate and commercial banking. Richard holds a Master of Business qualification and is a Fellow of the Australasian Institute of Banking and Finance. He has served on the board of the AIBF since 2001.
